Upon retirement or end of support, there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates. The following list represents products retiring or reaching the end of support in 2021.
Premier customers can pay additionally for a program where they can receive hotfixes during that period.Please go here to search for your product's lifecycle. There will not be further development on general hotfixes during that time. After 5 years, the product enters a phase called “Extended” support where you can submit support incidents but the product development team will only release security-related updates to the product. The first five of those years are considered “Mainstream” support where you can submit support incidents and the product development team will continue to release updates to the product. Microsoft Dynamics AX is supported for 10 years from its go-to-market (GTM) release date. Microsoft keeps the lifecycle information on its support website, but I find it a little hard to view all at once, so I put together a little chart to give you the chance to see it all at one glance. Microsoft Dynamics AX support timelines actually remain unchanged.
